When the Goddess Is Tired: How to Manage a Wellness Business During Burnout and Life Transitions
Running a Business While Life Happens
I’m going to be honest… I haven’t posted on the blog in a while. Not because I don’t care, but because life lately has been a whole rollercoaster.
The 4th anniversary event we poured so much love into didn’t happen (🙃).
I’ve been teaching daily classes, wrapping up the first generation of the Pilates Goddess Academy, launching the next one, collaborating on wellness events, attending career fairs… and working on a secret little project I still can’t share (but I’m dying to).

And behind all that, I’ve been moving through some personal shifts, hormonal changes, and this wild season called pre-menopause.
Let’s not forget: we’ve also been short-staffed at the studio.
It’s been a lot — mentally, physically, and emotionally.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
Even Goddesses need to rest.
Even when we love what we do.
Even when our hearts are all in.
This isn’t about giving up, it’s about honoring our cycles.
Lately, I’ve been in a season of quiet strength… showing up more slowly, more softly, but still with purpose.

If you’ve been feeling like life’s a bit too much, you’re not alone.
And if you’ve been hard on yourself for not “doing it all,” this is your permission to breathe, to pause, to give yourself some grace.
We’re not meant to be blooming all the time.
Some seasons are for grounding, for listening, for slowing down to feel what’s next.
Thank you for still being here. For being part of this goddess community, through the glow-up seasons and the more human ones.
With all my love,
Samia Markz
