Pilates Goddess Studio is a luxury reformer Pilates studio in Yuma, Arizona created to help clients build strength, improve posture, move with more confidence, and feel at home in their bodies again.
Founded by Samia Markz, Pilates Goddess Studio was built as more than a workout space. It is a welcoming community where clients feel supported, challenged, and empowered regardless of age, background, or fitness level.
Meet Samia Markz, Certified Classical Pilates Instructor
Samia Markz is the founder of Pilates Goddess Studio and Pilates Goddess Academy.
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Yuma, Arizona, Samia spent eight years in New York City studying Business Management at the Fashion Institute of Technology, FIT SUNY, where she graduated in 2013.
Her Pilates journey began over 20 years ago and eventually led her to pursue professional instructor training. Through years of teaching, continued education, and hands-on experience, she developed a passion for helping people feel stronger, move with confidence, and reconnect with their bodies through Pilates.
In 2021, Samia founded Pilates Goddess Studio with a vision of creating more than a workout space. She wanted to build a welcoming community where clients could feel supported, challenged, and empowered regardless of their age, background, or fitness level.
The Studio Story
What began with a single reformer has grown into one of the largest and most modern Pilates studios in the region. Due to the growing demand for Pilates in Yuma and the surrounding communities, Pilates Goddess Studio has expanded three times in less than three years and now offers small-group reformer classes with eight Allegro 2 Balanced Body reformers, a Gratz Cadillac, and a fully equipped studio designed to support clients at every stage of their movement journey.
Pilates Goddess Studio is proud to carry a fourth-generation lineage connected to Joseph Pilates' original method, preserving the principles and integrity of the work while making it accessible to modern clients.
Pilates Goddess Academy
In addition to the studio, Samia founded Pilates Goddess Academy to help train the next generation of Pilates instructors. For the past three years, the Academy has provided mentorship, hands-on education, and real-world studio experience for students who want to learn, teach, and continue the legacy of Pilates.
Students and clients travel from Yuma, the Foothills, Somerton, San Luis, Wellton, Phoenix, Imperial Valley, Mexicali, and surrounding communities to train and move at Pilates Goddess Studio.
Our Mission
Today, Pilates Goddess Studio offers small-group reformer Pilates classes, private training, community events, wellness experiences, and instructor education programs designed to help clients feel strong again.
For Samia, the greatest reward has never been the growth of the business itself. It has been watching clients gain confidence, watching students become instructors, and building a community where people feel supported, connected, and inspired.
Her mission is simple: to help people build strength, confidence, and a lifelong relationship with movement while creating a supportive community that feels like home.
