Samia Markz, Certified Classical Pilates Instructor

I am a Pilates Instructor, my name is Samia Markz, and I am 36 years old. I was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Yuma, Arizona. I spent eight years in New York City studying business management. I graduated in 2013 from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT, Suny).

I discovered Pilates a decade ago, after my post-eating disorder recovery and being a gymaholic. Gradually, Pilates became my passion as I immediately noticed the change in my physical body. I soon became obsessed with Pilates and pursued it as a hobby. I attended and completed the New York Classical Pilates Technique Certificate Program in Brentwood, California. As a Pilates Instructor, I made it my objective to guide my clients to achieve their fitness and wellness goals and assist clients in healing physically and emotionally. Pilates has greatly helped me overcome my eating disorder.

Pilates is more than just a technique. It promotes self-awareness of the body, mind, and soul. It’s also a beneficial program for developing lean and toned muscles and staying healthy and mobile as we age.

After eight years of teaching, I’ve been fortunate enough to turn my hobby into a professional business. I thank my loyal and supportive clients.

I genuinely care for the well-being of my clients. Using the principles of thought, breath, spirit, and movement, I design training programs to meet the individual needs of my clients at any stage in their life.

I delight in seeing my client’s satisfaction when they see their results.
